Memus to have toilets

While the first rake of Mainline Electric Multiple Unit (Memu) fitted with toilets in the country has already been rolled out by the Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala, in March, all the Memus to be manufactured in future would be fitted with toilets.

Stating this RCF GM Pardeep Kumar said earlier these units being run on short distances did not have any toilets and there was pressing need of the public to equip these with toilets. In the current year 8 new rakes of Memus would be manufactured and in future toilets would be a permanent feature of the Memus.
