MP to host 10th National e-governance conference

To make Madhya Pradesh "a model state in e-governance" the state government will host the annual 'National Conference on E-governance' on February 2 and 3 of the next month to be organised at State Assembly Hall.
 
For the first time a non-IT (information technology) and non-southern Indian state will organise the Conference.
 
Making an announcement in this regard, IT minister Kailash Vijayvergiya said, "Our focus is to make Madhya Pradesh a model state in terms of e-governance. We want government machinery to deliver things on round-the-clock basis. We will chalk out a strategy in this regard at the Conference and discuss issues and concerns in area of e-governance."
 
The state will focus on encouraging use of IT in governance, government purchase of hardware and software, community participation in e-governance and development of a coordinating system to disseminate information of government schemes in rural areas.
 
Madhya Pradesh Electronics Development Corporation, a government sponsored entity will host the show in association with Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, government of India, and Ministry of IT.
