Job-hoppers use offer letter as bargain chip for higher pay, position

omotion or using it in the interview round of another company to support your salary expectations?  Chances are that many would consider the latter two options in precedence over the first one. This is because an offer letter today is not only a written proof of the designation and salary that a candidate is entitled to get in that organisation, but also determines what he can demand from another.  In other words, an offer letter is today the biggest bargaining chip being used for hikes in salaries and higher positions.  According to Gautam Sinha, chief executive officer of TVA Infotech, a recruiting company in the IT sector, this issue is more rampant in the IT and ITeS sectors due to the volatility of the market.
