Projects worth Rs 2,267 cr commissioned in Punjab

Punjab took a step towards industrialisation with the commissioning of15 mega projects that have been completed at the cost of Rs 2,266.67 crore.
Stating this here on Tuesday, Industry & Commerce Minister Madan Mohan Mittal said that the timely commissioning of all these projects could be ensured by micro planning at every level, besides follow-up and monitoring of their clearances at every level. He said that he was regularly monitoring the implementation of all projects in the state and this review was also being conducted at the highest level.
The minister further stated that among the mega projects which have started their operations, included Arti International (Rs 242.06 crore), Shiva Fibers (Rs 145.71 crore), Valabh Textiles Company (Rs 124.71 crore), Kaur Sen Spiners (Rs 120 crore), Vardhman Texgarments (Rs 25.45 crore) (all situated at Ludhiana), Madhav Oils, Patiala (Rs 110 crore), Chadda Sugars, Gurdaspur (Rs 300 crore), Nahar Spinning Mills, Jitwan Kalan, Malerkotla (Rs 253.22 crore), Max India and Nawan Sahar (Rs 145 crore).
