Ramdev to stage dharna in Delhi

Yoga guru Ramdev is all set to hold a one-day dharna on June 3 in Delhi, to mark the first anniversary of the midnight crackdown by security personnel against his indefinite fast at Ramlila ground.

Balkrishna, a principal aide the yoga guru said on Friday that his followers were planning a dharna to mark the day in Delhi.

“We are not fighting against the government, but the government is fighting against us. We are fighting against issues like corruption and black money. Raising the issues again, there will be a nationwide protest in which Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and Anna Hazare will also be a part of us,” Balkrishna said.

 

A huge team of 10,000 officers of the Delhi Police and RAF raided the Ramlila ground on June 4 midnight when most of the “Satyagrahis” were sleeping and Ramdev was also sleeping on the dias.
