SAP experts swell to 20,000

| Reiterating its commitment to its customers and partners in India in building a profitable ecosystem, SAP, a provider of business software, has announced that India has contributed significantly to its Business Process Experts Community (BPEC), by having 20,000 members. Ever since the BPEC initiative was announced two months back at SAP TechEd '06 in Las Vegas, the number of business process experts globally has gone up to 60,000. |
| According to the company, the SAP Business Process Expert Community provides a collaborative environment in which business process experts can share information, experiences and best practices to leverage enterprise SOA to increase business agility. |
| "The community is designed to foster co-innovation in an open forum that caters to business process experts looking to drive business value from SOA, regardless of whether they are SAP customers or partners," said Zia Yusuf, executive vice president, Platform Ecosystem, SAP. |
| India also contributes significantly to SAP Developer Network (SDN) globally. Out of its total 6,00,000 SDN members globally, more than 75,000 are from India, said Yusuf. SDN enables SAP's technical community to obtain and share the latest information about SAP technology. |
| SDN offers evaluation software downloads, web-based training and discussion forums to help developers and consultants build enterprise applications, extend existing systems, champion integration projects and speed implementations, he added. |
| SAP is organising its SAP TechEd '06 Bangalore "� a technical education conference, for the third time in a row in India. More than 3,800 SAP customers, partners and technical community are participating in the event this year. |
