Here are some witty one-liners were doing the rounds on social media as the election results began to roll out:

Some wondered if they were watching the election results or an IPL match:

“Score itna jaldi badh raha hain, Maxwell bjp mein hain kya?”

Another had a request for the new PM:

“In your quest and eagerness to replace (sic) the Gujarat model, please do not make India a dry nation...I cannot drive to neighbouring countries for a drink”
