BJP releases logo with Modi's picture for TN election

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Tamil Nadu has released its new logo for the upcoming Legislative Assembly elections in the State, with the slogan "Thamarai Vellattum, Thamizhagam Valarattum" (Let Lotus win, Let Tamil Nadu grow).

The new logo has Prime Minister Narendra Modi's picture on it, as the party is betting big on the measures centre has taken to bring in growth to the country.

Speaking on the occassion, Tamilisai Soundararajan, State BJP President, told reporters that the central government has shown the way with bringing in growth without any corruption and the party is offering the same prosperity to the State, through electing BJP to the assembly.

She added that BJP will finalise its alliance in the State on Monday and the candidate list will also be finalised.

Commenting on Union Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu's statement that he met the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa twice and held discussion with her, Soundararajan said that each ministers could have their individual experience and the experience mentioned by Union Minister Piyush Goyal about the inaccessibility of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister has been echoed by many.

It may be noted that the allegation by various BJP ministers that Jayalalithaa is inaccessible even to the central ministers, has created protest from the ruling AIADMK party and its ministers.
