Bank of Baroda Q2 net up 13% at Rs 327cr

Backed by robust growth in commissions, fee and interest income, Bank of Baroda (BoB) today reported a 13.46% increase in net profit at Rs 327.19 crore for the second quarter ended September 2007 when compared with Rs 288.36 crore in Q2FY07.

Total income moved up to Rs 3,333,83 crore from Rs 2,507.66 crore in the second quarter of 2006-07.

Interest income moved up to Rs 2,879.77 crore from Rs 2,185.92 crore, and interest expenditure rose to Rs 1,898.33 crore from Rs 1,295.15 crore in July-September 2006.

Other income, comprising commissions, recoveries from non-performing assets and fees, rose sharply by 41.12% to Rs 454.06 crore.
