Forex reserves up $773mn to $143.92bn

Foreign exchange reserves increased $773 million to $143.921 billion for the week ended March 10, 2006, according to the weekly supplement released by the RBI on Friday.

Foreign currency assets moved up $776 million to $137.419 billion. Gold reserves and SDRs were unchanged at $5.747 billion and $3 million, respectively.

The Reserve Tranche Position with the IMF declined $3million to $752 million.
