Private life insurance player, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company, has partnered Hyderabad-based startup TalentSprint to offer a full-time six-month programme for graduates. It allows graduates to launch their management career in sales and distribution at ICICI Pru after completion of all parameters of the programme.
Announcing the partnership here, Santanu Paul, former senior vice-president and head of global delivery operations of Virtusa Corporation and now CEO of Talent Sprint, said the programme was divided into three months of formal learning at TalentSprint and three months of experiential learning as an intern at ICICI Pru.
“The 360-hour programme, developed jointly by ICICI and TalentSprint, include modules like personal finance, soft skills, sales training, people management and recruitment training, computer tools and technologies and practical on-the-ground training with live projects,” Paul said, adding the partnership will expand to other states in due course.
Speaking on the occasion, Judhajit Das, chief of human resources, ICICI Pru, said the company would absorb all the graduates who pass through the certification programme.
“TalentSprint is the first corporate company that we have tied up to launch such a programme. The idea is to impart training about need-based selling and reduce the incident of misselling,” he said, adding that ICICI Pru needed about 5,000 of the required 30,000 professionals by the Indian insurance sector a year.
Graduates having a minimum 50 per cent marks are eligible for the programme, which pays Rs 5,000 per month during the three-month internship, he said, while declining to comment on the number of students that it expects for the programme in the next one year.
The fee for the programme is Rs 35,000.
