Re ends higher at 45.80/$

Outlook
The rupee is expected to open between 45.78 and 45.83 against the greenback on Wednesday.

Sentiment: Bullish

The rupee opened at 45.83/84 and ended higher at 45.7950/8050 on the back of benign foreign exchange inflows.

Premiums on forward dollars closed flat. Annualised premiums on six-month and one-year dollars closed at 2.53 per cent and 2.13 per cent.

Money market

Sentiment: Bearish

Government security prices remained volatile with buying demand form the traders.

While there was not much movement in long term paper, prices of the short- and medium-term gilts witnessed a net movement of 20-30 paise.

Yield on the ten-year benchmark paper, 7.38 per cent 2015, closed 6.78 per cent.

Call money rates stood higher at 4.60-4.70 per cent.

Repo outstandings were at around Rs 6,500 crore.
