President of Indias message on the eve of 117th anniversary of declaration of Independence of Philippines
The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of the Philippines on the eve of the 117th Anniversary of the Declaration of the Independence of the Philippines (June 12, 2015). In his message to His Excellency Mr. Benigno S. Aquino III, the President of the Republic of the Philippines, the President has said, On behalf of the Government, the people of India and on my own behalf, it gives me great pleasure to extend to you and to the people of the Philippines hearty congratulations and good wishes on the occasion of the 117th Anniversary of the Declaration of the Independence of the Philippines.
India is delighted that the Philippines is a key partner in our Act East Policy. Our close cooperation in economic, defence-security and cultural platforms reflects our mutual trust and understanding. I look forward to working closely with you and am confident that our bilateral partnership will be further strengthened in the years ahead.
