Urban Development Minister Shri M.Venkaiah Naidu today visited a market and some residential areas besides some public conveniences of Sector-5, R K Puram for an on the spot assessment of maintenance of cleanliness by all the concerned.
On noticing deficiencies, Shri Naidu asked all the shopkeepers to ensure one dustbin in front of each shop besides collectively ensuring that common area of the market is kept clean. He also spoke to residents of local RWA and urged them not to allow dumping of garbage and malba in open areas. He also visited a community toilet and having found it not being maintained properly, conveyed his displeasure to the concerned authorities.
Shri Venkaiah Naidu also visited the 'shramdan' campaign undertaken today by the CPWD employees in Sector-5, R K Puram and appreciated their initiative. About 100 CPWD officials cleaned up the open area in the shopping complex that has become a dumping place. They also undertook cleaning up of public conveniences. They did shramdan for about two hours.
