A few hours from now, the curtain will fall on US President Barack Obama and he will pass the baton to a new leader.

Prognosticators project Clinton as a clear winner - undoubtedly, ever since the nominations were declared, she felt as optimistic then as she is now, when the judgement day is closing in.

Hillary Clinton has one of the strongest resumes anyone ever contesting the US President race has had. From being the first lady, senator and secretary of state to the strongest contender for the President's seat, Clinton has in every way proved her polarizing persona.

What is interesting is the kind of support she has received from the Obamas. In 2008, Clinton fell short in her first presidential bid, losing her party's nomination to Barack Obama. Four years later, it was Clinton who spoke in support of Obama as he advanced toward the presidency. The two served in the Senate together, took jabs at each other during primary debates in 2008, joined forces as President and Secretary of State.

Clinton's fans call her an inspirational leader, and a tough woman. Her foes consider her power-hungry. Be it as it may - Hillary Clinton has proved it time and again that she is here to stay, and if possible, to rule.

Obama had once said in a rally, "What sets Hillary apart is that through it all, she just keeps on going, and she doesn't stop caring, and she doesn't stop trying. And she never stops fighting for us, even if we haven't always appreciated it."
