Great Lakes, IIT Madras sign pact

| Great Lakes Institute of Management has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with India's premier engineering school, The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras. |
| In a press statement, Bala V Balachandran, honourary dean, Great Lakes Institute of Management, said "The MoU would give newer dimensions to the regular curriculum of the students of both the institutes. A tie-up with IIT is bound to open up a whole new world for our students." |
| The MoU was signed between the two institutes yesterday. The pioneering MoU for educational cooperation includes joint work among faculty and students of the two institutes, sharing of academic and infrastructure resources, organising joint events and programmes and promoting scholarly activities. |
| M S Ananth, director, IIT Madras, said, "Management education is now an integral part of the IIT system. We believe good ideas arise from a meeting of unlikely minds and are therefore happy to enter into an MoU with Great Lakes Institute, which has a cross section of students." |
