| The Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIMB) on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with four IT companies led by Toshiba of Japan. Other three companies are "" HCL, Intel and Microsoft. |
| The MoU will enable the companies to be the preferred supplier of products and services to the faculty and students of IIMB. |
| "This MoU framework establishes the strategic alliance of these companies in conjunction with IIMB, for first consideration empanelment of products and services. This marks the beginning of a synergy in relationship to work together for mutual benefits," said Ivan Kam, manager, distribution business, computer systems division, south Asia, Toshiba Singapore Pte Ltd. |
| He said that Toshiba will work towards taking care of IIM-B's future IT requirements. Toshiba was represented by president of the PC company, Toshiba International, HCL was represented by executive vice-president George Paul, Intel by Prakash Bagri, director, India OEM business and Microsoft by its group director Sudev Muthya. While the IIMB was represented by its director Prakash Apte and dean of faculty Shyamal Roy at the signing of memorandum. |
