Aluminium futures decline on profit-taking

Aluminium prices declined by 0.35% to Rs 114.10 per kg in futures trade today as speculators indulged in booking profits. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in July shed 40 paise, or 0.35% to Rs 114.10 per kg in single lot.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in May traded lower by 30 paise, or 0.26% to Rs 113.10 per kg, with a business turnover of three lots.
Analysts said besides profit-booking by speculators, subdued spot demand led to the decline in aluminium futures prices.
However, aluminium gained one per cent to $2,526.50 a metric tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
