Ashapura surges on bonus deal

Ashapura Minechem rose 5.84 per cent to Rs 425.85 after its shareholders approved issue of 1:1 bonus shares. The company's board on 27 June 2007, had recommended bonus shares in the ratio of 1:1. The stock also hit a 52-week high, clocking 2 lakh shares.

The scrip has gained 10.45 per cent in last one month. Ashapura is among the five largest bentonite producers in the world with a global presence and 50,00,000 tonnes in volumes.
