Shares of BHEL gained over 3% in intra-day deals at Rs 281, after the company commissioned India's first Phase Shifting Transformer for the Kothagudem Thermal Power Station Stage-VI in Telangana. The S&P BSE Capital Goods index, on the other hand, moved up 1.1% in noon deals.
Meanwhile, Citigroup recently upgraded the stock and also raised the target price to Rs 335. On Wednesday, the stock opened at Rs 272 and touched a high of Rs 283. At 12:40PM, over 4.3 million shares were traded in the counter on the BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange) and NSE (National Stock Exchange).
