Chana up 2.13% on high buying activity

Fresh enquiries from millers at lower levels further supported the uptrend

Chana futures for January rose by Rs 84, or 2.13% to Rs 4,020 per quintal, in 51,080 lots at the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange today.

The April contract increased by Rs 47, or 1.32%, to Rs 3,605 per quintal, in 52,510 lots.

Speculators increasing their holdings against restricted arrivals from Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh also influenced the chana prices.

Fresh enquiries from millers at lower levels further supported the uptrend.
