Press Trust of India New Delhi
Chilli prices fell by 2.60% to Rs 5,550 per quintal in futures trade today as speculators trimmed positions, driven by sluggish demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chilli for delivery in July fell by Rs 148, or 2.60% to Rs 5,550 per quintal with an open interest of 15855 lots.

Similarly, chilli for delivery in July contract lost Rs 106, or 1.87% to Rs 5,552 per quintal in 995 lots.
