Gains intact; JP Associates zooms 10%

The Nifty is up 80 points at 4,006.

Jaiprakash (JP) Associates has zoomed over 10% to Rs 153.
Reliance Infrastructure has soared 9% to Rs 787.

DLF has surged nearly 8% to Rs 412, and BHEL has gained 7.3% at Rs 1,499.

Reliance Communicaitons has rallied 6.3% to Rs 414. Larsen & Toubro has added nearly 6% to Rs 2,365.

Ranbaxy has moved up 4.8% to Rs 539. Mahindra & Mahindra has gained 4% at Rs 486.

ITC, HDFC and ICICI Bank are up nearly 3% each to Rs 174, Rs 1,990 and Rs 590, respectively.

Tata Steel has dropped nearly 3% to Rs 639. Cipla has declined nearly 2% to Rs 208.

 

The market breadth is positive - out of 2,542 stocks traded, 1,495 have advanced, 966 declined.
