Gur shakkar and pedi up on scattered buying

Gur shakkar and pedi prices rose by up to Rs 50 per quintal on the wholesale gur (jaggery) market today on scattered buying by stockists.
Traders said scattered buying by stockists amid restricted arrivals from producing region mainly helped gur shakkar and pedi prices to move up.
At Delhi, gur shakkar rose by Rs 50 to Rs 2,500-2,550 per quintal.
Gur pedi in Muradnagar also traded higher at Rs 2,100-2,125 as against last close of Rs 2,050-2,100 per quintal.
Following were today's quotations per quintal:
Chakku Rs 2,250-2,300, pedi Rs 2,300-2,350, Dhayya Rs 2,350-2,400, and Shakkar Rs 2,500-2,550
Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 1,800-1,900, chakku Rs 2,050-2,250 and Khurpa Rs 2,000-2,050
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,100-2,125 and Dhaya Rs 2,100-2,150
