ICTA auction sees selective demand

Arabica Plantation and Robusta Cherry grades were in demand at the Indian Coffee Trade Association (ICTA) auction on Thursday.
 
According to the auctioneers, Carritt Moran and Company, prices were ruling firm with selective demand from domestic roasters. The auction saw 323 tonne on offer for sale (last week 355 tonne) and, of which, only 37 tonne was sold.
 
About 234 tonne of Arabica and 89 tonne of Robusta were on sale at today's auction.
 
Following are the prices quoted for grades in Rs/50kg. Arabica varieties: Arabica Plantation PB Rs 6,300 (2,500 kg), Arabica Plantation MNEB Rs 6,250 (2,925 kg), Arabica Plantation B Rs 5,350 (702 kg), Arabica Plantation C Rs 4,900 (365 kg), Arabica Plantation BBB Rs 4,067 (2,594 kg), and Arabica Cherry C Rs 3,158 (12,309 kg). Robusta varieties: Robusta Cherry PB Rs 3,375 (5,500 kg).
