Indian Basmati Not To Be Affected, Say Exporters

All India Rice Exporters Association (AIREA) said that the grant of patent to the United States firm Rice Tec would not have any adverse impact on Indian Basmati since the patent does not confer any exclusive rights on the Texan company to market its products.
