ITC GDR up 1.62%

ADR/GDR REPORT

The Instanex Skindia DR Index (ISDI) was up 0.06 per cent to 1,514.61 on October 4, 2005 at the London early trades. Among the ISDI GDR stocks 5 gained and 2 lost ground.

The major gainers were ITC up 1.62 per cent to $3.13, Bajaj Auto up 1.29 per cent to $39.25 and Reliance up 0.95 per cent to $36.25 with volumes of 46,663 GDRs.

The losers were L&T down 0.60 per cent to $34.79 with volume of 51,596 GDRs and Ranbaxy Labs down 0.43 per cent to $11.55 with volume of 35,250 GDRs.

In the previous day's close among ISDI ADR stocks 4 gained and 4 lost ground.The major gainers were HDFC Bank up 5.43 per cent to $53.98, Dr.Reddy's up 3.08 per cent to $20.06 and VSNL up 2.06 per cent to $16.85.

The major losers were Infosys Tech down 2.42 per cent to $72.48, Wipro down 2.03 per cent to $10.15 and ICICI Bank down 1.66 per cent to $27.78. The Index closed up 0.28 per cent to 1,510.58 and was trading at a P/E of 19.70.
