Kabli gram, moth declines on subdued demand

Kabli gram and moth prices fell by Rs 100 per quintal on the wholesale pulses market today on slackened demand against adequate stocks position.

However, gram and its dal found selective buying from retailers and improved.

Traders said adequate stocks following increased arrivals from producing regions amid sluggish demand mainly weighed on the kabli gram small and moth prices.

Kabli gram small variety and moth prices declined by Rs 100 each to Rs 4,250-5,450 and Rs 4,500-4,800 per quintal.    

On the other hand, gram, gram dal local and best quality were up by Rs 50 each to Rs 2,400-2,425, Rs 2,675-2,700 and Rs 2,750-2,850 per quintal.

Urad 4,000-4,550, Urad chilka (local) 4,800-5,200, best 5,400-5,700, Dhoya 5,500-5,600, Moong 4,050-4,450, Dal moong chilka local 4,850-5,250, Moong Dhoya local 5,400-5,600 and best quality 6,000-6,200

Masoor small 3,000-3,200, bold 3,200-3,450, Dal Masoor local 3,800-3,900, best quality 4,100-4,400, Malka local 3,900-3,950, best 4,050-4,150, Moth 4,500-4,800, Arhar 3,600-3,700, dal arhar dara 4,600-5,000.      Gram 2,400-2,425
