Kisan Card Disbursals Nearly Rs 50,000 Crore

With the number of Kisan Credit Cards (KCCs) issued in the past three years having crossed 2.4 crore, the credit disbursed to farmers through the instrument has reached close to Rs 50,000 crore.

Additional one crore KCCs are proposed to be issued in the current year, according to the target fixed by the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard).

This has raised the total flow of institutional credit to the agriculture sector to Rs 1,62,116 crore in past three years.
