Lead futures marginally down on reduced offtake

Press Trust of India New Delhi

Lead prices traded lower by 0.34% in futures trade today due to reduced offtake by battery makers.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in May declined by 35 paise, or 0.34% to Rs 103.55 per kg, with a business turnover of four lots.

Likewise, the metal for delivery in June shed 35 paise, or 0.34% to Rs 104.05 per kg, with an open interest of three lots.

Market analysts said reduced offtake by battery makers in physical markets mainly led to fall in lead futures prices.
