Maize prices to remain firm
COMMODITY SPIKES

Meanwhile, there has been a poor arrival of rabi crop in the Nizamabad market (main delivery centre), which signals a firmness in prices. Last week, the maize futures on NCDEX opened at Rs 822 a quintal and rallied up to Rs 847.
Commodity analysts see resistance at Rs 872 a quintal and support at Rs 827 during this week. The country is expected to produce around 16 million tonnes of maize during the year. Starch and poultry industries are aggressively procuring maize.
