Mentha oil remained weak and prices fell further by Rs 4.70 to Rs 1,410.10 per kg in futures market today.

Increased arrivals from Chandousi in Uttar Pradesh also influenced mentha oil prices.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the December contract fell by Rs 4.70, or 0.33% to Rs 1,410.10 per kg in business turnover of 121 lots.

Likewise, the January contract traded lower by Rs 4.50, or 0.31% to Rs 1,425.70 per kg in 852 lots.

Market analysts said besides profit-booking by speculators, weak spot market demand kept pressure on mentha oil futures.
