Nickel and zinc recover on fresh demand

Nickel and zinc prices recovered in an otherwise subdued non-ferrous metal market here today on fresh stockists demand amidst better offtake from alloy and consumer industries.
Meanwhile, tin, copper, and brass declined on lower industrial demand.
Nickel prices spurted by Rs 20 per kg to Rs 1,250 from yesterday's closing level of Rs 1,250 and zinc edged up by Rs 2 per kilo to Rs 133 as against Rs 131 previously.
However, tin dropped by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 1,420 from overnight closing level of Rs 1,430.
Copper scrap heavy, copper armiture and brass utensils scrap fell by Rs 4 per kg each to Rs 440, Rs 429 and Rs 300.
Copper cable scrap, copper utensils scrap, copper wire bar and brass sheet cutting all moved down by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 449, Rs 403, Rs 477 and Rs 310, respectively.
Copper sheet cutting eased by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 425.
