Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) was the only gainer among the Sensex stocks, flaring up 5.31 per cent to close at Rs 887.05, after the government hiked the prices of petrol, diesel and LPG, while simultaneously reducing the duties (customs and excise).
