Range-bound trading in grains

The wholesgrains market ale closed on a steady note today with wheat and other commodities after moving in a tight range in the absence of worthwhile activity, closed around previous closing levels.

Arrivals and offtake remained at a low ebb and volume of business also dropped.

Traders said activity remained restricted, as demand from neighbouring states and absence of demand from local parties due to heavy rains, mainly kept commodity prices unchanged. 

Meanwhile, wheat dara (for mills) and wheat MP (deshi) traded flat at Rs 1,220-1,225 and Rs 1,650-1,750 per quintal, respectively.
