Refined soya oil eases on profit-booking

Refined soya oil prices weakened by Rs 1.20 to Rs 583 per 10 kg in futures trading today, as speculators indulged in booking-profits after fall in demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange platform, refined soya oil for December-month declined by Rs 1.20, or 0.21 per cent to Rs 583 per 10 kg, with an open interest of single lot.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in January traded slightly lower by paise 55, or 0.09 per cent to Rs 598.45 per 10 kg, with an open interest of one lot.

Traders said fall in refined soya oil attributed to profit-booking by speculators.
