Refined soya oil futures slip on profit booking

Refined soya oil futures prices weakened by Rs 4.90 to Rs 545.80 per 10 kg today, as speculators booked profits.

Weak trend at the spot markets due to fall in demand also weighed down on the prices.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, refined soya oil for December delivery declined by Rs 4.90, or 0.89 per cent to Rs 545.80 per 10 kg, with a business turnover of just one lot.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in November traded lower by Rs 4.60, or 0.85 per cent, to Rs 535.00 per 10 kg, with a business.

Market analysts said profit booking by speculators and fall in demand at spot markets kept pressure on the refined soya oil futures prices here.
