Robust Q2 numbers boost Nagarjuna Construction

Nagarjuna Construction Company spurted 12.6 per cent to end the day at Rs 48.75 after it announced its second-quarter results for FY09. The company’s total income grew by around 56 per cent year-on-year to Rs 1,056 crore, while its net profit rose by about 26 per cent to Rs 42.3 crore during the quarter.

The company has an order book of Rs 12,420 crore. The stock touched an intraday high of Rs 50.9 and a low of Rs 40.5. A total of 275,202 shares changed hands on Monday vis-à-vis its two-week average of 705,328 shares. The stock is down by 55 per cent in the last one month.
