Select base metals rise on global strength

Select base metals rallied in an otherwise subdued non-ferrous metal market here today due to pick up in demand from industrial users coupled with buoyant trend in the London Metal Exchange.
Meanwhile, lead ended marginally lower on lack of buying support.
Tin and nickel both jumped by Rs 15 per kg each to Rs 1,315 and Rs 1,175 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 1,300 and Rs 1,160, respectively.
Copper armiture rose by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 381 from Rs 378 and copper scrap heavy moved up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 390 as against Rs 388 in the previous session.
However, lead softened by Re 1 per kg to Rs 114 from Rs 115 yesterday.
