Select base metals rise on good demand

Select copper, brass and zinc prices rose at the non-ferrous metal market here today on good demand from stockists, amid steady buying from consumer industries.

Meanwhile, tin prices dropped on heavy stockist offering on the back of lower demand from alloy industries. 

Copper utensils scrap rose by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 432 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 427 and brass utensils scrap edged up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 313 as against Rs 311 previously. 

Copper cable scrap, copper wire bar, copper sheet cutting and zinc all inched up by a rupee per kg to Rs 477, Rs 505, Rs 450 and Rs 134, respectively.

 

However, tin prices fell by Rs 20 per kg to Rs 1,650 from Rs 1,670 yesterday.
