Select base metals strengthen on industrial demand

Select base metal prices strengthened up to Rs 3 per kg on the local non-ferrous metal market today on increased demand from consuming industries.

Traders said increased demand from consuming industries mainly helped base metal prices to rise.

In the national capital, copper wire scrap, copper wire bar and copper mixed scrap were  up by Rs 2 each to Rs 517, Rs 540 and Rs 500 per kg, respectively. 

Nickel (4x4) and zinc ingot followed suit and traded higher by the same margin to Rs 132.50 and Rs 1,060-1,062 per kg, respectively.

Lead ingot 142, lead imported 145, aluminium ingots 110, sheet cutting 111, aluminium wire scrap 110 and aluminium utensils scrap 107
