Sensex down 54pts; Infosys, ICICI weak

The NSE Nifty is down six points at 5,106.

Cipla has dropped 3.4% to Rs 217. Tata Steel has shed 2.3% at Rs 785.

Maruti has slipped 2% to Rs 723. Infosys and ICICI Bank have dropped around 1.5% each to Rs 1,661 and Rs 904, respectively.

Wipro and ACC are down around 1% each at Rs 461 and Rs 775, respectively.

Jaiprakash Associates has surged 3% to Rs 253. HDFC Bank and Reliance Energy have rallied around 2.5% each to Rs 1,537 and Rs 1,391, respectively.

Reliance Communications has moved up 1.6% to Rs 586, and HDFC is up 1% at Rs 2,720.

 

Out of 2,600 stocks traded so far, 1,439 have advanced, 1,091 have declined and 70 are unchanged.
