Sensex ends down 77pts at 10,821

The Sensex today opened up 71 points at 10,969. The index rallied 138 points to the day's high of 11,036.

The index slipped into the red in early noon trades. It tumbled to a low of 10,715 - down 321 points from the day's high.

The Sensex recovered partially towards the close and finally ended (provisional) down 77 points at 10,821.
