Sensex marginally down; Tata Steel surges 4%

The Sensex is now down 34 points at 14,253.

The NSE Nifty is up 22 points at 4,336.

Tata Steel has soared 4% to Rs 655. Tata Power and Wipro have surged 2.7% each to Rs 1,145 and Rs 434, respectively.

DLF, ACC and Reliance Infrastructure have gained nearly 2% each at Rs 500, Rs 602 and Rs 989, respectively.

NTPC has moved up 1.7% to Rs 174. Hindalco and Reliance have added around 1.5% each to Rs 142 and Rs 2,192, respectively.

Tata Motors has plunged nearly 5% to Rs 396. ITC has shed 3.8% at Rs 181.

Maruti has slipped over 2% to Rs 576, and TCS has dropped 1.5% to Rs 826.

 

SBI and Bharti Airtel are down over 1% each at Rs 1,373 and Rs 800, respectively.
