Sensex recovers partially; ACC drops 5%

The NSE Nifty is down 43 points at 4,434.

TCS has slumped 6.8% to Rs 800, and Tata Steel has plunged 5.5% to Rs 630.

ACC has tumbled 5.3% to Rs 560. Reliance Communications has slipped over 4% to Rs 504, and SBI has shed 3.5% at Rs 1,490.

Infosys, NTPC, BHEL and ICICI Bank are down around 2.5% each at Rs 1,565, Rs 186, Rs 1,731 and Rs 721,  respectively.

ONGC has surged 3.5% to Rs 1,029. Maruti has rallied 2.8% to Rs 624.

DLF has gained 2.6% at Rs 509. Reliance and Reliance Infrastructure have moved up 1.6% each to Rs 2,306 and Rs 1,031, respectively.

 

Out of 2,736 stocks traded so far, 1,528 have declined, 1,138 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
