Sensex up 126pts; ITC gains 2.5%

The Sensex is now up 126 points at 10,878.

NTPC, Tata Motors and Bajaj Auto have gained around 3.5% each at Rs 120, Rs 759 and Rs 2,550, respectively.

BHEL advanced 3% to Rs 2,166. Tata Steel, Gujarat Ambuja and ITC have rallied 2.5% each to Rs 509, Rs 106 and Rs 174, respectively.

Hindalco, Dr.Reddy's and Reliance Energy are up over 2% each to Rs 161, Rs 1,420 and Rs 458, respectively.

Out of 2,467 stocks traded so far, 1,500 have advanced, 882 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
