Sensex up 162pts; market breadth extrmely +ve

The Sensex is now up 162 points at 11,475.

Hero Honda has rallied nearly 4% to Rs 707. HDFC Bank has moved up over 3% to Rs 832.

SBI, Wipro, Tata Motors, Satyam, Ranbaxy, Hindalco and ONGC are up over 2% each at Rs 891, Rs 522, Rs 818, Rs 790, Rs 401, Rs 170 and Rs 1,238, respectively.

ICICI Bank, TCS, ITC and Cipla are the other prominent gainers.

HLL, Infosys, Reliance, Grasim, Tata Steel and Reliance Energy have advanced over 1% each.

The market breadth is extremely positive - out of 2,136 stocks traded so far, 1,672 have advanced, 423 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
