Sensex up 22pts; Hindalco plunges 4%

The Sensex has pared gains and is now up 22 points at 14,426.

Bharti Airtel has rallied over 2% to Rs 788. Reliance Communications has spurted 1% to Rs 496.

SBI has moved up 1.4% to Rs 1,198. HDFC and Reliance Energy are up 1% each at Rs 1,760 and Rs 540, respectively.

Hindalco has plunged almost 4% to Rs 176. Wipro has shed 1.6% to Rs 633.

Grasim, ACC, Cipla and Larsen & Toubro are down 1% each at Rs 2,780, Rs 1,029, Rs 247 and Rs 1,661, respectively.
