Sensex up 303pts; Jaiprakash Associates soars 10%

The Sensex is now up 303 points at 13,163.

Larsen & Toubro is trading ex-bonus at Rs 1,234.

Jaiprakash Associates has zoomed nearly 10% to Rs 122. Satyam has soared nearly 8% to Rs 320.

HDFC Bank has surged 5.8% to Rs 1,300. ICICI Bank and Reliance Communications have rallied 5% each to Rs 562 and Rs 351, respectively.

Tata Steel, Grasim and HDFC have gained around 4% each at Rs 444, Rs 1,758 and Rs 2,225, respectively.

Tata Power and Infosys have moved up over 2.5% each to Rs 939 and Rs 1,447, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra, Wipro and ACC have advanced over 3% each to Rs 526, Rs 350 and Rs 630, respectively.

 

Out of 2,512 stocks traded so far, 1,545 have advanced, 909 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
