Sensex up 33pts; BHEL, NTPC surge 3%

The Sensex is now up 33 points at 10,785.

BHEL has surged 3.5% to Rs 2,176. NTPC has advanced 3% to Rs 119.

Tata Motors has rallied 2.3% to Rs 749. Larsen & Toubro, Dr.Reddy's, Reliance Energy, SBI, Ranbaxy and ITC are up 1% each at Rs 2,275, Rs 1,406, Rs 454, Rs 819, Rs 374 and Rs 171, respectively.

Out of 2,138 stocks traded so far, 1,164 have advanced, 888 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
